Lulu and Cici race forward, eager to see what’s at the end of the river. "Come on, Kiki, hurry up!" Lulu shouts impatiently. Meanwhile, Kiki stays calm, enjoying the view. She notices the flowers along the riverbank and listens to the birds singing. As Lulu and Cici rush ahead, they miss the little details around them. Kiki smiles, realizing how much they miss. Kiki says, "Lulu, Cici, slow down for a moment. Look at these flowers, listen to the birds sing. Slowing down helps us see more beauty." Cici pauses, “I never notice this before. It’s all so beautiful.” Lulu nods, “I think slowing down is a waste of time, but now we enjoy so much more.” After slowing down, they enjoy the journey more, realizing that taking their time on the river brings peace and happiness.

One morning Juliet woke up earlier than usual. She was very excited because today she and her parents, Sergei and Tilly, were going to visit her Uncle Peter's farm. It was her favourite place! They quickly got ready and set off. ‘I can't wait to see all the animals!’ Juliet said happily. ‘Don't worry, you'll see them soon!’ smiled Sergei. Page 2: Meeting the animals At the farm, Uncle Peter was waiting for them at the gate. ‘Hello, Juliet, are you ready for a new adventure?’ - he asked. Juliet quickly ran to the paddock where her new friends were waiting: Milka the cow, Windy the horse, Clucky the chicken and a little piglet called Snuffle. All the animals were very friendly. ‘Oh, this little piggy is so funny!’ - Juliet laughed. Page 3: The little helper Uncle Peter asked Juliet to help him with the chores. ‘Do you want to feed the chickens?’ he asked. ‘Sure!’ Juliet replied. She took a bucket of grain and began to feed the chickens. They clucked happily, and the little yellow chicks ran after their mother. Juliet was happy to watch them. Juliet enjoyed watching them and felt like a real farmer. Page 4: Riding a horse After lunch, Uncle Peter invited Juliet to ride his horse, Windy. ‘I've always wanted to do that!’ - Juliet said. She climbed on Windy's back and the horse began to trot gently across the green field. Juliet held on to his mane and laughed with delight as the wind blew her hair. Page 5: Returning home After a fun day at the farm, Juliet, Sergei and Tilly said goodbye to Uncle Peter and his animals. ‘This was the best day!’ - Juliet said. ‘Come back again, there are always new adventures waiting for you!’ - said Uncle Peter. The Song Ling Tang Gong Hall stands solemnly, with various exquisite wood carvings and murals showcasing the long history and profound culture of the Tang family. The thick walls of the old village bear witness to our ancestors’ commitment to and protection of this tranquil home. The continuous incense in the temple evokes a strong sense of local customs. I was fortunate to grow up in buildings like the Shik Lu and Chong Him Hall, which blend traditional Chinese features with Western architectural elements. The winding stairs and airy terraces all highlight the unique charm of this cultural fusion. Even in today's age of towering buildings, Lung Yeuk Tau retains its rustic village charm. Villages like Wing Ning and New Walled Village still preserve their circular wall layouts, and one can occasionally catch a glimpse of ancient wells in the alleys, making it feel as if we've traveled back to ancient times. During major festivals, we ring the heavy bronze bell in front of the familiar Tin Hau Temple, hoping for the Goddess of Heaven's blessings. The historic sound of the bell seems to tell the stories of this land. Perhaps it is these historical buildings that nurture the cultural foundation of us, the children of Lung Yeuk Tau. We have personally experienced the unique humanistic atmosphere here since childhood; it has deeply imprinted itself in our hearts, becoming an indispensable part of us. Lung Yeuk Tau, nestled beneath these beautiful mountains, carries a long history and accumulates rich culture. We, the young people who grew up here, will continue to defend this peaceful homeland, ensuring its brilliance shines forever.

The sea witch smiled wickedly. “You will help me find my lost crown, or you must stay here forever!” The sea witch became distracted by a family of lost turtles, trying to enter her underwater cave. Alex looked at Poppy, his heart racing. “We need to get out of here!” With a nod of agreement, they started to tip-toe behind the mountains of treasure in the sea witch’s cave. Suddenly, they spotted a golden starfish that shimmered brightly—it looked magical! “Let’s grab it!” shouted Poppy, reaching out. As they grasped the starfish together, a brilliant light filled the cave! With a bright flash, the starfish granted them one wish. The friends looked at each other, grinned, and shouted together, “Take us back home!” In an instant, they found themselves back on the sandy beach, the sun shining down once more. They cheered and hugged each other. “Where have you been?” Alex’s mum asked. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you!” Alex laughed.

Emma and Huey, without a delay, Said, “We’ll help you, Santa, and save Christmas Day!” With a rope and their strength, they pulled with all might, And soon Santa’s sleigh was soaring in flight. “Thank you, dear Emma, and Huey as well, You’ve saved Christmas Eve with your kindness to tell!” As a gift for their help, Santa left a surprise: A golden collar for Huey and for Emma, bright skies. He flew off with a “Ho ho ho!” through the night, As Emma and Huey watched him fade out of sight. Back home they returned, hearts full of delight, Knowing they’d made the world brighter that night. And every Christmas Eve, as the snow softly falls, Emma and Huey still wait for Santa’s calls.
