He explains different symptoms to the children and that even though he gets mad and sad at times that it is not their fault. He loves them very much and needs them to be strong for their mom. Grateful, the squirrel dropped a shiny acorn, which Siraj pocketed. Soon, they reached the monster’s cave. The enormous, scaly creature roared, “Who dares disturb me?” “We are Siraj and Junaid,” Siraj said bravely. “You’re hurting our village. Leave!” The monster laughed. “Solve my riddles, or be my dinner!” The first riddle was: “I am not alive, yet I grow. I don’t have lungs, yet I need air. What am I?” Siraj quickly answered, “Fire.” The second riddle: “The more of me you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?” Siraj replied, “Footsteps.” Angry, the monster gave the final riddle: “What has roots no one sees, is taller than trees, and never grows?” Junaid shouted, “A mountain!” The monster roared. “You win the riddles, but now you must fight!” It charged, claws swiping. Junaid dodged and struck with his wooden sword, distracting it. Siraj loaded the shiny acorn into his slingshot and aimed for its glowing eye. The shot hit, and the acorn sprouted into a magical tree, binding the monster. “Fine!” it roared. “I’ll leave your village!” With the monster gone, the river flowed again, and the villagers celebrated their young heroes. From that day on, Siraj and Junaid were known as the bravest friends in the land.

V Svetem pismu beremo, kaj se je zgodilo na enem od teh potovanj. 2 Ko je bil Jezus star dvanajst let, je prvič smel iti tudi on zraven. Skupaj s starši, Jožefom in Marijo, ter sosedi so se odpravili v Jeruzalem. Do tja so hodili tri dni. 3 Ko so prispeli v Jeruzalem, je bil Jezus prevzet od veselja, da je končno v hiši svojega Očeta. 4 Ko je bil čas za odhod domov, je Jezus ostal v templju, ne da bi njegovi starši to opazili. Marija in Jožef sta mislila, da je Jezus pri popotni druščini skupaj s svojimi prijatelji. 5 Jezus pa se je medtem v templju pogovarjal z učitelji postave. Učitelji so mu postavljali vprašanja in se čudili njegovi modrosti. Bili so presenečeni, kako ta deček pozna in razume vse, kar je zapisano v Svetem pismu! 6 Ko sta bila Jožef in Marija že ves dan na poti domov, sta proti večeru začela iskati Jezusa. Spraševala sta pri vseh sorodnikih in znancih, a nihče ni vedel, kje je Jezus. Medtem, ko so se druge družine odpravljale k počitku, sta se Jožef in Marija v velikih skrbeh podala nazaj proti Jeruzalemu. 7 Vso dolgo noč sta hodila in naslednje jutro, utrujena in neprespana, iskala Jezusa po mestu. Končno sta ga našla v templju in njegova mama mu je rekla: »OTROK, ZAKAJ SI NAMA TO STORIL? V VELIKIH SKRBEH SVA TE ISKALA?« 8 »KAKO DA STA ME ISKALA? MAR NISTA VEDELA, DA MORAM BITI V HIŠI SVOJEGA OČETA?« je odgovoril Jezus. 9 Potem se je Jezus vrnil z njima nazaj domov v Nazaret, saj je vedno poslušal svoje starše in jih ubogal. 10 Njegova mama Marija je vse, kar se je zgodilo, ohranila in premišljevala v svojem srcu. Jezus pa je rastel in bil vedno bolj moder in priljubljen pri Bogu in pri ljudeh.

Ils rencontrent aussi d’autres animaux, comme un paresseux qui leur conseille de ne pas se presser et un singe farceur qui leur propose un raccourci risqué. Léonard prend le temps de réfléchir et choisit toujours la solution la plus sûre, prouvant que le courage n’est pas l’absence de peur, mais la capacité de prendre des décisions difficiles. Ils reviennent au refuge avec les lianes juste à temps. Grâce à leur courage et à leur coopération, ils sauvent la tanière. Léonard découvre qu’il n’est pas nécessaire d’être grand et fort pour être courageux : il suffit d’agir malgré ses peurs. La tribu le félicite, et son grand-père lui dit qu’il est fier de lui. Léonard se couche ce soir-là, la poitrine gonflée de fierté, prêt à affronter de nouvelles aventures.
