Furthermore, he attentively listens to his parents and strives to be a well-behaved boy. Boo, however, doesn't have many friends. Kids tend to stay away from him because he is constantly sad, cries often, and is selfish. He refuses to share his toys and can be unkind to others. Boo also struggles to admit his faults and tends to lie frequently. Over time, Clappy gains popularity and builds many new friendships, thoroughly enjoying his life and having a great time. Meanwhile, Boo finds himself always alone, with no one to play with, which leaves him feeling lonely and despondent. It dawns on him that he is unliked and completely isolated. One day, Clappy sees Boo sitting by himself, looking sad. Clappy doesn’t like what he sees and goes to Boo, asking why he is sitting all alone. Boo replies, “It’s because no one wants to play with me. Nobody seems to like me.” Clappy hears what Boo says and replies, “Dear brother, I have some advice for you. You need to try to be good to others. Try sharing your things. Try to help others. Try to be kind.” Boo heeds his brother's advice but chooses not to act on it. His perspective is, "My toys belong to me alone, and I have no intention of sharing them with anyone." Boo is unwilling to take the high road and be generous in sharing his possessions. Instead, he desires everyone to comply with his wishes without question. But who likes to be around a person who is grumpy, unkind, and doesn’t share? Days go by, and Boo is still alone. 2nd Grade Version To understand why the American Revolution happened, we need to look back at the years from 1754 to 1763. During this time, the British and the French were fighting in a war on land that is now part of the United States. This war is called the French and Indian War. The British wanted to control more land, and the French wanted to keep their land. Many Native Americans chose to help either the British or the French during this war. In 1759, British soldiers went to a city called Québec in Canada and won a big battle there. They took over another city called Montréal the next year. After that, there weren't many big battles left between the British and the French in North America. The fighting mostly stopped by 1763 when a peace agreement called the Treaty of Paris was signed. Why did the British start taxing the colonists, and why did this make them mad? The British government made laws and taxes that affected the colonists. Many colonists felt proud to be British, but they believed they had rights that the king should protect. They didn't like the Stamp Act, which was a new tax. In Virginia, some leaders, called the House of Burgesses, said that the British Parliament shouldn’t be taxing them. In 1765, the prime minister of Britain was George Grenville. He created the Stamp Act because he needed money to pay for British soldiers in North America. He thought the colonists should help pay for these soldiers who were protecting them. At first, the British leaders were surprised by how upset the colonists were. Grenville did not listen to their complaints and was eventually replaced in 1766. A leader named George Washington fought in the French and Indian War along with the British. He helped lead soldiers against the French. He became a well-known leader and was even elected to help make laws in Virginia.

To be righteous means to obey God's commandments and live in a way that honors Him. 3. John Jr and Durga decided that they would make right choices, by saying no to temptation. They will have the courage to stand up to evil and do the right thing. 4. Righteousness means we are right with God. John Jr told Durga by putting on the breastplate of righteousness, they are protecting their hearts from sin and learning to be righteous- right before God. 5.. John Jr and Durga thought of ways they could be more righteous. They decided they would live with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with and forgiving each other. And bind them together with love.
