In the heart of a vibrant Zoo, an Okapi wakes to a new day, feeling out of place and alone. Far from his lush rainforest home in the Democratic Republic of Congo, he notices that he looks different from the other animals and struggles with feelings of shame about his uniqueness. As he wanders near a pond, he encounters a Warty Pig, a peculiar creature with bumps and a snout that sets him apart. The Warty Pig, with his croaky voice, reassures the Okapi that being different is something to celebrate, not hide. Together, they discover the power of embracing their individuality, teaching each other—and the other animals—that uniqueness is what makes them special. As their friendship blossoms, they spread joy and laughter throughout the zoo, showing that differences are not to be feared, but rather celebrated.

I love my tablet. I love playing games and watching videos. I love it so much I take it everywhere and use it all the time. My mummy does not like my tablet. She thinks I use it too much. She only thinks that because she never had a tablet when she was young. Today, I went to use my tablet and the power turned off. I couldn’t play any games. The grass was already pricking my skin, and a rock rolled right into my Crocs. Mummy didn’t mind any of my cries, and started to show us all the joys of her old life. That day, we climbed the mango tree until my sister Jana scraped her knee. We played hopscotch on the concrete using rocks to draw on the street. Daddy taught us how to shoot marbles in the dirt. Johnny lost and was very hurt. We made mud-pies and fed them to all the guys. We spinned and sang to the beat of our own drum, There’s a brown girl in the ring. Sha-la-la-la-la. They saw villagers ringing bells to pray for safety, feeling the power of faith. Page 5 Next, they arrived at the ancient well. Wah curiously asked, “How old is this well?” Ming replied, “It’s an important water source for villagers, over a hundred years old!” Page 6 They visited the Song Ling Tang Temple and admired the beautiful wood carvings and statues. Ming told Wah it was built to honor their ancestors. Page 7 The brothers ran through the fields of the village, enjoying the beauty of nature. Next scene is the Baby Angel peeks/ peers over the cloud to act like they are kind of hiding while children start walking down the path, hand in hand. It’s still sunset but a little darker. Next scene children are still walking along path hand in hand but have different scenery/ background now like they have made way down the path. One of the children is bending down to pick up a coin found in the path while both children have expressions of excitement for what they found and the angel baby appears to be watching with anticipation. Place a cardinal, a feather and blue butterfly, a dragonfly, things that people associate with messages from heaven, in the photo somewhere. It is now dusk and almost completely dark. Next scene. It is now completely dark and the sky is full of stars. Children have come to an opening from the forest

Angel is a neurotypical child of 10 years struggling in school and making friends. things that happened to her when she was really young resulted in her acting out in school and isolating herself at home, turning to distractions and devices instead of making friends and go out and play. I want you to create a children's book with Angel as a center figure, going from having no friends and being on her tablet all the time to finding courage and kind self talk and curiosity to go outside and make friends and play outside, using imagination and joy as guiding stars to loving herself and create friends. Be a good friend to herself and in that be a good friend to others - and this resulting in great friends that loves her and becomes friends for life. By being herself and kind to herself.
