Dahil halos hindi sapat ang nagiging sahod ni Mila sa pagiging isang nurse, umaabot sa puntong isang araw lamang sa loob ng isang linggo ang nailalaan ni Mila para sa kaniyang anak sa pagdodoble-kayod nito sa ospital at dahil na rin sa dami ng inaasikaso sa trabaho. Kadalasan ay tulog na ang mag-lola sa tuwing uuwi siya, at halos hindi na sila nagkakasabay-sabay sa pagkain.
