Hi, I’m Karots, the Welsh pony, and though I may be a bit older now, I still have a mischievous streak! As a lesson pony, I spend my days teaching children not just how to ride but how to stay alert and on their toes! I make sure their ride is exciting—no boring trotting in circles for me! I prefer zig-zag patterns, spontaneous canters, and inserting my head or leg through the fence, just to make them squeal. I’ve also mastered the art of picking up branches, just to see how long I can hold on while they try to pry them from my mouth! Of course, after all that fun, I always end the day with good behavior. The children un-tack me, give me lots of scratches (the human version of chewing, I’ve learned), and most importantly, plenty of carrots. After all, carrots are a Karots’ favorite treat!

Kudus: (looking down) "I didn’t think you’d miss me." Sewit: (hugging him) "Of course we’d miss you. We love you, Kudus. We’re stronger when we stick together." ________________________________________ The three of them held hands and walked home, the lantern lighting their way. Kudus never wandered off alone again, knowing his sisters would always look out for him.

A boy stepped out, wearing a shining crown. “I’m Damon, Prince of the Galaxy,” he said. “The solar system is in danger. I need your help.” “The planets are falling out of orbit. Without balance, everything will collapse!” Damon explained. Chloe’s heart raced. “Let’s go!” Their first stop was Mars, drifting too close to Earth. Chloe and Damon worked together to stabilize its orbit with Damon’s ship. Next, they visited Jupiter. Its giant storm, the Great Red Spot, was flinging lightning into space. Flying into the storm, they discovered a glowing crystal at its center, causing chaos. They removed it, and the storm calmed. As they traveled, Damon revealed his secret. “The balance of the solar system depends on my family’s magic, but someone stole our Star Crown. Without it, I can’t keep the planets aligned forever.” “Then we’ll find it,” Chloe said. Their search led them to Saturn, where its rings were vanishing. Deep beneath a frozen lake, they uncovered the Star Crown. With Damon’s magic restored, they faced their greatest challenge. “Earth’s orbit is unstable. It’s drifting toward Venus!” Damon said. Chloe had an idea. “We can use the Moon’s gravity to pull Earth back into place!” Together, they guided the Moon, saving Earth just in time. “You saved the solar system,” Damon said, smiling at Chloe. “But more than that, you’ve shown me what it means to be brave.” “Let’s explore the galaxy together,” Chloe said, taking his hand. From then on, Chloe and Damon journeyed through space, ruling the galaxy and keeping it safe. The universe was even more amazing than Chloe had ever dreamed. The End.

From a young age, I was captivated by the unique buildings in the village. The Song Ling Tang Gong Hall stands solemnly, with various exquisite wood carvings and murals showcasing the long history and profound culture of the Tang family. The thick walls of the old village bear witness to our ancestors’ commitment to and protection of this tranquil home. The continuous incense in the temple evokes a strong sense of local customs. I was fortunate to grow up in buildings like the Shik Lu and Chong Him Hall, which blend traditional Chinese features with Western architectural elements. The winding stairs and airy terraces all highlight the unique charm of this cultural fusion. Even in today's age of towering buildings, Lung Yeuk Tau retains its rustic village charm. Villages like Wing Ning and New Walled Village still preserve their circular wall layouts, and one can occasionally catch a glimpse of ancient wells in the alleys, making it feel as if we've traveled back to ancient times. During major festivals, we ring the heavy bronze bell in front of the familiar Tin Hau Temple, hoping for the Goddess of Heaven's blessings. The historic sound of the bell seems to tell the stories of this land. Perhaps it is these historical buildings that nurture the cultural foundation of us, the children of Lung Yeuk Tau. We have personally experienced the unique humanistic atmosphere here since childhood; it has deeply imprinted itself in our hearts, becoming an indispensable part of us. Lung Yeuk Tau, nestled beneath these beautiful mountains, carries a long history and accumulates rich culture. We, the young people who grew up here, will continue to defend this peaceful homeland, ensuring its brilliance shines forever.
