Berenstain Bears and Lady Bear Things had changed in the Bear family treehouse. Mama Bear had been gone for a while now, and Brother Bear was still getting used to it. One afternoon, Papa Bear called Brother Bear into the living room with an excited but nervous look on his face. “Brother Bear,” Papa Bear said gently, “I want you to meet someone. This is Lady Bear. She’s a very special friend of mine.” Brother Bear felt a knot in his stomach. He wasn’t sure what to think. He missed Mama Bear and had hoped everything would go back to the way it used to be.
