V Svetem pismu beremo, kaj se je zgodilo na enem od teh potovanj. 2 Ko je bil Jezus star dvanajst let, je prvič smel iti tudi on zraven. Skupaj s starši, Jožefom in Marijo, ter sosedi so se odpravili v Jeruzalem.
