Esta es la historia de cuatro primos. Lola y Luis que viven en Leipzig, en Alemania, y Sofía y Antonio que viven en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Un día decidieron viajar los cuatro juntos a Paris. Sus padres los llevaban pero ellos querían sentirse adultos y recorrer la ciudad solos. A los cuatro primos les gusta mucho la música, Lola toca el piano y a Sofía le encanta bailar. Antonio y Luis aman los mapas y explorar. También les gusta probar comidas nuevas y practicar francés con los locales. El viaje fue muy entretenido. Cuando terminó no querían separarse. Prometieron volver a encontrarse en Alemania o en Argentina para seguir compartiendo aventuras. Lola prefería ir a Argentina porque ama los caballos.

So the next night, after dinner, I sneak them into bed. ‘Hi, Mr. Monster!’ I whisper, even though I’m still scared. ‘I brought you cookies…. And Ted, I’ll leave them here if you're hungry, but Ted is for cuddling, not eating!” “The next night, I hear it again: ‘Scratch, grrrrr, scratch!’. But this time I’m ready! I peek over the edge of the bed and wait.” “And then… I see it! A little nose pokes out, sniffing at the cookies, and then… a fat fluffy body and long fluffy tail! It’s not a monster at all! It’s my cat, Oscar!” “Oscar creeps from under the bed, stretches and hops right into my lap! I can’t believe it. The monster was my cat all along!” “Now, every night when I hear scratching under the bed, I smile because I know it’s not a monster. It’s just my cat, and he’s my friend now.” “Now, instead of getting scared, I just pat the bed and say, ‘Come on out, Oscar!’ And he does. Turns out having a monster cat under my bed is pretty awesome”

It was a crisp October day, I woke up to the other dogs whining as the shelter workers let us all out of our kennels. Yes! Freedom! I ran so fast to the playroom to play with my friends! Today was going to be a big day - I can feel it! I played for hours and hours, until I had to have a nap. After lunch I saw two humans walk in and sit on the floor. I met eyes with the lady human, she immediately picked me up. My legs were dangling and I thought jeez lady I just had breakfast. I stared into her and she stared back, she said "its you, your the one." I said to myself ok lady, do you have food or a ball? The lady stood up and talked with a shelter worker, she came back and said "I'm going to be your new Mom" and I thought "Mom?." She said she would be back, she came back with a new collar and name tag with the name "Koda."

Our Kindergarten class is learning how to deal with big emotions. When they are feeling overwhelmed by big emotions they should tell an adult they need a break, how we can help them or what is making them feel that way. We want to help them understand their feeling so that they will be able to learn to self-regulate. We encourage deep breathing, breaks, walks, alone time and telling adults how they feel.
