A mystery in her career journey

God describes David as “a man after My own heart” (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22). That does not mean that he was blameless. We only need to read 2 Samuel 11 to see that David has fallen very low: he took the wife of one of his generals, Bathsheba, because she was very beautiful. When Bathsheba turned out to be pregnant, David called her husband Uriah home from the battle field hoping he would sleep with her. That would “solve” the problem of Bathsheba’s pregnancy. But Uriah didn’t go home, not even when made drunk, so David sent him back to the battle field with a letter ordering his death. After Uriah’s death, David married Bathsheba. The description of this whole story ends with a clear comment: “the thing that David had done displeased the Lord” (2 Samuel 11:27). God didn’t let David get away with this. He confronted him with his sin, and David repented. Psalm 51 gives us an intimate glimpse of his emotions:

Once upon a time, in a far-off universe, there was a little star named Twinkle. Unlike the other stars, which shone with a silvery light, Twinkle glowed with a warm golden light. This made Twinkle feel special, but sometimes, it also felt lonely. One day, Twinkle decided to leave its star cluster to explore the universe, in search of stars like itself. It traveled through countless galaxies, encountering various stars, but it found none like itself. During its journey, Twinkle came across a bright blue planet. The children on the planet felt joy and comfort whenever they saw Twinkle shining in the night sky. Twinkle realized that even though it was different from the other stars, this was what made it unique. Its difference allowed it to bring special happiness to others. From then on, Twinkle stopped looking for stars similar to itself. It learned to appreciate its uniqueness and used its special light to illuminate the night sky, bringing hope and joy to the children on Earth.

The house shimmered and transformed. Flowers bloomed in the garden. They saw a broken playground, where children stood around sadly. Gaia said: Can we make it fun and safe, Grandfather? Grandfather touched the ground, and the playground began to repair. Gaia hugged him tightly, her heart filled with happiness. From that day on, the magical repairs became a beloved part of the city

1. John Jr went to church and was learning about Jesus' 12 disciples. John Jr went up to the pastor and asked him to tell him more about Judas Iscariot. 2. Judas Iscariot was a Jewish man. Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus to the Sanhedrin in the Garden of Gethsemane, in exchange for 30 pieces of silver, by kissing him on the cheek and addressing him as "master" to reveal his identity in the darkness to the crowd who had come to arrest him. Jesus was turned over to Pontius Pilate's soldiers. Jesus predicted Judas Iscariot's betrayal at the Last Supper. 3. Judas was overcome by remorse and attempted to return the 30 pieces of silver to the priests, but they would not accept them because they were blood money, so he threw them on the ground and left. Judas Iscariot afflicted by God's wrath. 4. Judas was damned due to the despair which caused him to subsequently commit suicide by hanging himself.

He was known for his cunning ways and his desire to control everything. “What are you three up to?” Cuddles asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Chuppy stood tall, determined not to let Cuddles intimidate him. “We’re planning a community garden! It will help everyone in the village!” Cuddles chuckled, his eyes narrowing. “You think you can just take over the land? You’ll need my permission to use any area for gardening. And I don’t think I’ll allow it.” Sophie frowned. “But Cuddles, this is for the whole village. It’s not just about us; it’s about helping everyone.” “Helping? Ha! You’ll learn that nothing comes for free. If you want to succeed, you’ll have to work hard for it—or better yet, you should just give up now,” Cuddles sneered, turning to leave.
