One day the library media center had an unwelcomed visitor. This visitor was not an ordinary human. This visitor was not even human at all. It was from Mars. It was Martian. And it was a fly. Not a little fly that we see buzzing around out doors at picnics trying to land on juicy watermelons. But a huge fly. Almost bigger than the hand of a Pre K student. This fly was from Mars and it loved to read books. So, one day when the door to the library media center was left open by a student, this Martian fly flew right in. He was in fly heaven. He went from book to book and read how to live on Earth. What to eat to not make his belly hurt. And how to avoid humans. He was having the time of his life. Until one day, he made a big mistake. The media specialist and her assistant Miss Bee and Miss Crystal saw him in the nonfiction section. They didn't know that he was an alien. They assumed he was a mutated fly that was so big that he might bite one of their students. No matter how hard they tried they were unable to catch the fly. Soon, they gave up because they had a job to do and that was to make sure all students could come in and check out great books to read as well as help students with their Chromebooks. So Miss Bee decided to trap the fly in another room so no student could be harm by the fearsome creature.

I was a little girl about seven years old and we had gone to my grandparents for Christmas. Their house was three or four hours away from mine and I was so worried that Santa wouldn’t find me. Max, 1.5 years old, rides home from nursery with his father, as he does every afternoon. As always, he sits on his father's bike seat. Today, his father has forgotten Max's helmet, which has happened several times before On the way home, they stop at the bakery again. As Max's father finds it too difficult to unbuckle his bike, he parks it right in front of the bakery. He just wants to go inside quickly to buy a loaf of bread. As he orders inside, he hears noise outside and the bakery sales clerk screams and shouts that his bike has fallen over. His father runs out of the store and Max seems to have hit his head. Max looks dazed and barely reacts when his father rushes to him. He immediately takes care of Max, unstraps him and takes him in his arms. He looks desperate and asks the bakery assistant who has come out of the store to call an ambulance. While they wait for the ambulance, Max vomits several times. When the ambulance arrives and Max is placed on the stretcher, he briefly loses consciousness and a bleeding wound can be seen on his right temple. His father is completely distraught and cries bitterly. The paramedics calm him down and dress Max's wound, but he wakes up again and starts crying. The father is allowed to take the ambulance to the children's hospital. Max and his father are admitted to the hospital, where his score on the GIasgow coma scale for children is 9, confirming the diagnosis of moderate traumatic brain injury with bruising on the right. His wound can be taped and closed with terile adhesive wound strips (Steri-Strip@). A simple wound dressing is then applied, which is secured with a mesh bandage Max is very anxious the whole time he is being cared for, always seems absent, cries a lot and can hardly be calmed even by his father The nurses and doctors question the father about what happened and he provides information about Max's condition immediately after the fall.

Her town had only one science college for girls, and unfortunately, mathematics wasn’t offered there. Undeterred, she persuaded the school to approve math as a subject, and it was heartening to see a few of her friends choose the same path. When everything seemed to be going well, and she was at a crucial point in choosing my career, she faced medical emergencies and underwent multiple surgeries. It took nearly two years to return to normal life, which unfortunately meant she couldn’t attend the engineering college she had hoped for. Disappointment weighed heavily, but she heeded her father’s advice. She pursued her graduation in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and secured the second-highest rank in college. Relieved and safe, Starfish reflects, "We are all so different, but we make a great team!" Dolphin smiles, "Our differences make us stronger." Clown Fish adds, "Thank you, everyone." THE CLEVER SQUIRREL AND BIRD High in a tree, a squirrel saw what was happening and called his friend, a bird. “We need to stop the snake Squirrel: “We need to stop the snake.” Bird: “Oh, mighty snake! did you know there’s a treasure hidden under the big oak tree? Only the strongest can find it!” 5. 5 FINDING THE TREASURE Curious and proud, the snake slithered to the oak tree, leaving the rabbit behind. He dug and dug but found nothing. Snake: “Where is the treasure?” Bird: “The treasure isn’t gold. It’s kindness.” Squirrel: “That's true. True strength comes from helping others, not hurting them.” 6. A NEW BEGINNING The snake thought about the fish and the rabbit and felt ashamed. “I want to be better,” he said. He apologized to the rabbit and promised to change. From that day on, the snake became friends with the squirrel, bird, rabbit, and even the fish. Together, they showed the forest that kindness is the greatest treasure.
