John Jr went to the internet and began telling Yuēhàn about the Mayflower and Pilgrims. 2. John Jr explained that the Mayflower was an English sailing ship that transported a group of English families, known today as the Pilgrims, from England to the New World. After 10 weeks at sea, Mayflower, with 102 passengers, reached the United States, dropping anchor near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on November 21, 1620. The captain of the Mayflower was Christopher Jones. 3. John Jr went on that The pilgrims wanted to separate from the Church of Egland and they believed God wanted them to voyage to America. During the voyage, the pilgrims passed the time by reading by candlelight or playing cards and games. Upon the arrival on land, the pilgrims were surprised to see the ground frozen and that led to their inability to plant and harvest food. 4. John Jr told Yuehan about the native Indians giving a hand to the pilgrims. The Indians taught the pilgrims how to gather food and survival skills. The help from the Indians save 53 pilgrims from ultimately perishing. Most of the pilgrims died from diseases described as a mixture of scurvy, pneumonia, and tuberculosis. 5. The following year, the 53 pilgrims and 90 Wampanoag Indians had a celebration that we now call Thanksgiving. The Mayflower was torn apart after Christopher Jones passed away. 6. John Jr and Yuehan started counting down the days to Thanksgiving. They planned a special tribute and prayer for the Pilgrim and Indians!

He advised them to venture out at night and be cautious of cars. Among the young rats was an adventurous and curious rat named Gundwanyana. One day, driven by curiosity, he ventured out and got lost after being chased by children. He struggled to find his way back to RatAlex, experiencing fear and hunger. He narrowly escaped danger while trying to steal food from a shack and eventually found refuge at the Alexandra stadium. From there, he recalled the way back to RatAlex. On his return journey, Gundwanyana found food in a dustbin and, after eating, finally made his way back to RatAlex. He recounted his harrowing adventure to the other young rats, who admired his bravery and resilience.

Before packing their suitcases, John Jr and Yuēhàn looked at some history books to have a better understanding of how Gettysburg battlefield was so important. 2. John Jr gave Yuēhàn some history about the Civil War. The American Civil War was a war between the Union (Northern US States) and the Confederacy (Southern US States) that lasted from 1861-1865. The war was fought over disagreements about slavery, states vs. federal rights, the election of Abraham Lincoln, and the economy. 3. John Jr found some information on the battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg was a three-day battle fought between Union and Confederate forces between July 1 and July 3, 1863, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The battle, which was won by the Union, is widely considered the Civil War's turning point, ending the Confederacy's aspirations to establish an independent nation. It was the Civil War's bloodiest battle, claiming over 50,000 combined casualties over three days. 4. Yuēhàn found some information of the final battle and shared it with John Jr. The Battle of Palmito Ranch took place on May 12–13, 1865, near the Rio Grande in Cameron County, Texas. The battle was fought between Confederate forces under Col. John S. “Rip” Ford and Union forces under Col. Theodore H. Barrett. The battle resulted in a Confederate victory. 5. John. Jr and Yuēhàn finished packing and loaded up the car. They had a wonderful time in Gettysburg and even saw a Civil War reenactment.

They walked to the fish stall, where Captain Jack offered them fresh fish. “Protein for strong muscles!” Captain Jack said. Finally, they stopped by Daisy’s Dairy Stand. Daisy handed them a bottle of milk. “Milk is great for your bones and teeth!” she said. Back at school, the friends arranged their plate: apple slices, carrot sticks, a slice of whole-grain bread, grilled fish, and a glass of milk. It looked colorful and delicious! Ms. Green clapped her hands. “Congratulations! You’ve solved the Balanced Plate Mystery. Your plate is a perfect example of healthy eating!” The friends smiled proudly. They learned that eating a balanced meal isn’t just a mystery—it’s the key to having a strong and healthy mind and body! And from that day on, Ella, Timmy, and Mia always made sure their plates were colorful and balanced, just like their big Healthy Plate Day success.

One morning, Bluebelle (BB) and Daddy went for a walk in the garden. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing a happy song. As Bluebelle skipped along, she saw a **tiny, twinkling light**. It **fluttered** and **danced** in the air. “Daddy, look! A fairy!” Bluebelle clapped her hands. The little fairy **sparkled** and smiled. “Hello, Bluebelle! My name is **Lulu**. Do you want to see something magical?” “Yes, please!” Bluebelle cheered. Lulu waved her tiny wand, and **poof!** A **shimmering blue path** appeared, made of soft, glowing flowers. “These are **Bluebelle flowers**,” Lulu said. “They will take us to Fairyland!” Bluebelle held Daddy’s hand, and together, they **tiptoed** onto the glowing path. It felt **soft like a cloud**. Suddenly—**whoosh!**—they were in Fairyland! The sky was pink, and butterflies made of **rainbows** fluttered all around. Tiny fairies danced in the air, giggling like little bells. “Wow!” Bluebelle said. “It’s so pretty!” Lulu led them to a **magical tree** covered in **twinkling stars**. “This is the **Wishing Tree**,” she said. “You can make a wish!” Bluebelle thought for a moment.
