Lily loved to play. She loved to jump rope, swing high on the swings, and bounce her ball. One thing Lily did not like to do was run. "It's boring!" she'd groan whenever her mom suggested a jog in the park. "I'd rather stay home and read." One sunny afternoon, Lily was playing in her room. Her favorite pair of bright pink sneakers sat by the door just waiting to be worn. Suddenly, with a mischievous glint in their eyes, the sneakers hopped off the floor and skipped towards the window! Lily gasped. "My shoes! Stop!" she cried, but the sneakers were already out the window and were bouncing down the street. Lily raced after them, her heart pounding. She chased them down the sidewalk and around the corner until she was out of breath. "Come back!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the neighborhood. The sneakers, however, were having the time of their lives. They bounced past beautiful flower gardens, dodged around playful puppies, and they even slid down a hill. Lily, huffing and puffing, finally caught up to her runaway shoes. She scooped them up, feeling a strange tingling sensation in her legs. "You silly shoes! You can’t just run away! I don’t like to run and you made me chase you. You made me feel SO tired!" she said. Her mom, who had been watching from the window, chuckled. "Looks like you're having fun. Can I join you?” she asked. Lily, surprised by how much fun she was having running, decided to keep going and said “yes, let’s go”.

Along the way, she encountered challenges: a mischievous wind that tried to blow her off course, a grumpy mountain spirit guarding the path, and a river of glowing water that demanded a toll of kindness to cross. Alina’s courage and compassion turned each challenge into an ally. The wind carried her higher, the spirit gave her a map of the peak, and the river gave her glowing water to refill the lantern. When she reached the summit, Alina found the largest, most radiant star ready to fall. She whispered to it, asking for its light to save her village. The star replied, "If you promise to share my light with the world, I will fill your lantern." Alina agreed, and the lantern was restored, shining brighter than ever. When she returned to the village, the lantern’s light not only kept the darkness away but also allowed the stars to be seen in every corner of the world.

John Jr told Jade that Jesus went about with boldness and confidence. John Jr and Jade wanted to be more courageous like Jesus. 2..Jesus taught people not to fear but to be courageous because God is always with them.John Jr and Jade felt comfort in Jesus' teachings and decided to make a list on how to be more courageous. They felt it was courageous to try new things, talk to people they don't know, speaking up, falling down and still keep going, facing difficulties/challenges even when hard. doing things on their own, and being able to face discomfort or pain. John Jr and Jade decided to put those courageous ways into practice 4. Jesus praised John Jr and Jade for being so courageous and told them how pleased God was them.
