During a trip to deliver food to a needy family, his parents die when their horse and carriage wrecks in bad weather. Once Nicholas becomes 19, God directs him to become a monk. He packs his bags and heads off on a boat to another town. On the boat trip, the weather becomes bad and a crewman falls overboard. Nickolas miraculously rescues him from drowning, earning him the name SAINT NICKOLAS from the other shipmates. He joins the monastery but soon is called back to his hometown of Myra. Once home, he discovers his parents have left him a very large inheritance and he chooses to give all the money to other in need. He secretly puts food and money in peoples homes in need. He is sitting on the couch and the children are sitting next to him. He then explains that he was hurt and ended up with a traumatic brain injury which is just a fancy way of saying his brain got hurt and needed time to heal again. He explains different symptoms to the children and that even though he gets mad and sad at times that it is not their fault. He loves them very much and needs them to be strong for their mom. Together they will all heal in time and he is sorry that it gets confusing at times. But he wants them to know he loves them no matter what happens.

The Question: The storyteller asked Rohan, "Who do you think was wiser—Karan, who always did the right thing, or Rahul, who learned from his mistakes?" Rohan’s Answer: Rohan thought for a moment and said, "Karan is wiser because he always worked hard. It’s good to learn from mistakes, but being responsible from the start is even better." The storyteller smiled and said, "That is a great answer! Now, let me tell you another story..." Moral of the Story: Working hard and being responsible from the beginning leads to success, but learning from mistakes also helps us grow.
